Tea a Health Treat

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Tea. Whether it’s green tea, black tea, white tea, red tea, name it i like it. I got this habit of drinking all sorts of health drinks, fruit juices, coffee, tea, milk etc. from my grand father. I admire him for having a healthy body and maintain it for such a long time. Even if he already passed away. He left our world not young. But very old and wise.

There are so many benefits of tea. but when is the best time to take it? My grandpa used to tell me that the best time to take tea is in the morning. It will help you boost your metabolism. It will also help you to feel better when your sick.

I still think that you can drink tea anytime you want but it depends on what type of tea you drink, Most green teas has caffeine, so if you’ll love this type and like to drink a lot in the evening, you may want to drink less in the evening. but i think it would be ok to drink tea anytime of the day. If the tea is decaf then maybe a cup or two in the middle of night won’t hurt your eyes. but if you love sweetened tea, A cup in the morning may be good for you but not too much at night.

So for all those who are not sure what time to drink tea, You may want to check what type of tea are you drinking and you can adjust from there. And you can host your own tea party. Have a great tea time!

Milk or Fitbone tech?

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

Have you ever thought of being taller? A lot of my friends would love to be taller. Lucky for me I’m tall enough for my age….. i guess. There are ways to be taller, There are operations that will help you to add more height.

A good example is The Fitbone technology.

Fitbone Technology was originally intended to correct shortened or deformed limb bones caused by injury, disease or other causes like congenital defect. Today, it is the latest technology in limb lengthening and strengthening. Through this technology, an individual can gain up to 180 mm in height in about six months.

The Fitbone procedure is much safer to use and simpler to perform compared to the conventional bone extension surgery methods known today. Unlike the external frame that is bulky and seen on the outside, the Fitbone is placed intramedullarily or inside the bone. Fitbone uses a steel implant that gradually lengthens when activated by a wireless control unit. The device is inserted into the hollow of a bone that has been cut crosswise. The device, activated by the remote control unit, increases in length at 1 mm a day. The bone’s cut ends grow and fuse eventually.

But if you’re still young, then you don’t need Fitbone a simple balanced diet would be perfect. If you’re small and your afraid that your kids will inherit your genes, then try to give them a well balanced diet.

milk is high in calcium, Vitamin b and protein, Enough sleep is also needed because this will increase growth hormone to make them taller. It’s really our choice to make our children and ourselves taller naturally or not.

Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. Who wouldn’t want it? a lot of people just can’t resist even the smell of it. I am one of those people who is guilty of this but, i just got this news about how a simple brisk walk could reduce chocolate cravings.

Most of us know the benefits of different exercises and how it help people to manage their lifestyle especially those smokers and those who’ve been to different drugs. The researchers now has shown that this concept may be true for different food cravings.

In London, Researchers held a study for three days of abstinence, They asked 25 people who are chocolate fanatics to have a 15- minute of brisk walk or rest. A professor in Exeter University, Adrian Taylor tells that they were having a study how physical activities reduces cigarette cravings and this study is the first one that has linked exercise to lessen your chocolate cravings.

They all engaged those chocolate lovers to tasks that would normally induce their chocolate cravings. All participants who exercise showed a much lower chocolate cravings compared to those who just rest.

And guess what ladies this study showed that 97% of women experienced those cravings compared to men whose only 68%. Chocolate has active constituents that enhance our moods, that’s why it may help us to relax, especially when were stressed. But eating chocolate might turn into habit. So you may want to take a brisk walk before you grab a chocolate.

They say teeth is the most important part of you smile. But how about our gums? Do we take care of our gums whenever we brush are teeth? Does brushing alone can keep our gums healthy. When i was a kid i never thought that bleeding gums would lead to gingivitis. until my dentist told me. So at an early age. I already learned how to take care of my gums.

Most people who suffers from gum problems, are already suffering from gingivitis. There are so many popular ways on how you can actually prevent it. but i gathered for most effective steps of them all.

1. Brushing your teeth. Yes, i know you heard it before, but this is the first thing you shouldn’t miss to so. brushing twice daily or more can prevent gingivitis. And dental flossing wouldn’t hurt. So try to make it a habit to brush and floss. Food left in between teeth may not only cause cavities but may also cause bad breath.

2.Eat a well- balanced diet. Try to consume 500mg of Vitamin c and calcium, based on studies. Lack of nutritious food are more prone to Gingivitis.

3. Use a good mouth wash. Toothpaste doesn’t kill all the germs in your mouth. better have a back up.

4. Massage your gums for few minutes. Before brushing your teeth, try to use the the soft bristles of tooth brush and try to massage your gums, but don’t put too much pressure. or just simply massage your gums with the use of fingers. It will help the blood circulation in your gums.
Simple but effective techniques that prevent Gingivitis. I can see some happy smiles on their way.
