They say teeth is the most important part of you smile. But how about our gums? Do we take care of our gums whenever we brush are teeth? Does brushing alone can keep our gums healthy.When i was a kid i never thought that bleeding gums would lead to gingivitis. until my dentist told me. So at an early age. I already learned how to take care of my gums.

Most people who suffers from gum problems, are already suffering from gingivitis. There are so many popular ways on how you can actually prevent it. but i gathered for most effective steps of them all.

1. Brushing your teeth. Yes, i know you heard it before, but this is the first thing you shouldn’t miss to so. brushing twice daily or more can prevent gingivitis. And dental flossing wouldn’t hurt. So try to make it a habit to brush and floss. Food left in between teeth may not only cause cavities but may also cause bad breath.

2.Eat a well- balanced diet. Try to consume 500mg of Vitamin c and calcium, based on studies. Lack of nutritious food are more prone to Gingivitis.

3. Use a good mouth wash. Toothpaste doesn’t kill all the germs in your mouth. better have a back up.

4. Massage your gums for few minutes. Before brushing your teeth, try to use the the soft bristles of tooth brush and try to massage your gums, but don’t put too much pressure. or just simply massage your gums with the use of fingers. It will help the blood circulation in your gums.
Simple but effective techniques that prevent Gingivitis. I can see some happy smiles on their way.

We all know some kitchen wonders but kitchen cabinet wonders? Being sick doesn’t choose who, where or when it will attack,Well, Here are some more illness that can be easily prevented or cure by simple spices and herbs that can be found just around the kitchen:

1. Shaking/ trembling body - Ginger has high antiviral compounds that specifically fights against rhino virus, Its a common cold that actually hep in a good circulation that reduce trembling. You can try ginger tea that you can easily buy in your nearest grocery store. Or you can try to make your own tea from chopped ginger in hot cup of water. I addition, Ginger can actually reduce weight . Based on research studies , intake of ginger speeds up the metabolism of our body up to 20%.

2. Clogged nose - try peppermint. this reduces nasal inflammation and relaxes nasal passages and air passages where air passes through to get into our system. Bases on studies about people who regularly smells menthol( an important component of peppermint) prevent them from having nasal congestion compared than those who don’t. Taking a sip of peppermint tea or just simply smelling the hot peppermint tea. Or you can try to add few drops of peppermint oil in your pillows for a relaxing sleep.

3. Colds on their way. Try garlic. People who consume a clove or garlic in a day is 60% far from getting colds. Compared to people who don’t eat garlic.This is also good in high blood pressure. Garlic is rich in anti virus compounds that targets virus. You can take a slice of raw garlic daily. but if the smell doesn’t suits you, try to add garlic in your daily meals like toasted bread or salad.

Sore throat, something that shouldn’t be taken for granted. Not many people pay attention when it comes to an ordinary sore throat, Most people would choose to just buy an over the counter medicine. They would buy something they’ve heard or seen on TV or something that they’ve been using for years, believing that it would give them relief, I have nothing against medications for most of them are effective. although i just want to share some things that can actually help soothe and cure sore throat without taking any medications. It’s cheap and whats important is, it is very effective.

a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice or calamansi and one teaspoon of honey. Add all the ingredients in a hot water but better to let it cool a bit before taking it. This honey tea will give an instant relief to a painful sore throat.

If you feel the itchiness and burning sensation, then you can try the licorice tea, you can easily get a licorice tea in any supermarket this is effective in an instant relief in sore throat. Just don’t drink too much, it may cause high blood pressure so, just sip for an instant relief and that’s it.

Try not to speak as much as possible, relax your throat.
Just imagine yourself working 24 hours and with no sleep. You became unproductive and useless as well. It’s the same with our throat. If you continue to talk you only hurting yourself more.

These maybe very simple tips, but these are very effective. So the next time you have a sore throat try to follow these first, but if symptoms persist consult your doctor.

1. Potato for your eyes. Yes potato juice for your eyes. Forget cucumber slices. Did you you know that starchy juice from grated potatoes is great for treating dark under-eyes? Potato has a whitening enzyme called catecholase that can brighten your eye areas quickly. Grate some spuds, squeeze it, dip cotton balls into the juice and apply directly unto the under-eye area. 4. Honey me. If you’re fighting acne or have an infected cut anywhere in your body grab some raw honey from the pantry and dab it on the affected area. Honey is actually an ancient remedy and is known to be one of nature’s most effective anti-bacterial creations.

5.Herb’s aren’t just for cooking. For a quick aromatherapy pick-me-up, run your hands lightly over the leaves of a rosemary plant and rub the essential oils onto your wrist or neck. To clear garlic breath, grab a couple of fresh mint leaves and chew, chew, chew. For nausea, sniff some sliced ginger.

There are many salads nowadays but how would you actually make the most of it. Here are pointers from the experts, It will change the way you make your salads.

1. For the citrus fruits, make sure they are firm and fragrant upon smelling.

2. For the meat, as long as it’s vacuum packed. Or if buying pre-packed meat, it should be pink and to red in color.

3. For the prawns, go for those that are gray and firm.

4. For the salad greens, go for leaves and herbs that are fresh and crisp.

With salads it’s nice to try out the different textures like crunchy and soft, This can also be something chewy, Having different textures, as well as different flavors gives dish some variety, Making it more enjoyable. Because usually if it is vinaigrette or a vinegar or a citrus-based dressing, you would want to balance the acidity to something sweet. So a balance of sweet and sour is nice, and if you can put a little bit of a bitter taste, a little bit of salty taste, even better.

Salads are a versatile type of dish, and aren’t just measured by dressing and lettuce. Experimenting is a good way to spice things up. One simple way of achieving this goal is to have an olive-oil hair mask. Here’s a simple recipe for a homemade olive-oil hair mask. Mix 1 egg yolk, one cup coconut milk. One crushed avocado( you can also use avocado puree for a much smoother mixture) and 2 tables spoon of olive oil. Mix egg yolk and the coconut milk wait until rich and foamy. followed by the avocado fruit. mix them together until creamy. Finally, add the olive oil. You are now ready to use your olive-oil hair mask.

First, apply the mixture to your hair from root to tip. Leave it up to 15 minutes.You can cover your head if you want, this will quickly absorb the mixture.After 15 minutes, rinse well with warm water.. Then you can rinse it again with tap water. You will immediately see the big difference you can do this twice a week to maintain the softness of your hair.

Congenital Deafness

I visited an old friend last Tuesday, I had a great time talking and catching up but that wasn’t the one that i really can’t forget, it was my friend’s niece. She was just around 2 years old. I called her but she didn’t react or respond.

Then i found out that she was deaf. My friend told me that it was Congenital deafness. And she is planning to send her to speech classes the moment the kid started schooling. I was really concern because this is the first time i saw somebody that is deaf at a very young age.

So the moment i arrived i started my research about different type of deafness, and here’s what i found.

Congenital deafness is one type of deafness that started from the moment you were born. It’s like you already show hearing defects since you were young. People don’t usually react to different sounds that surround them.

You will know if a child has these kind of hearing defects if he’s old enough to talk but still doesn’t talk. They should be wearing hearing aids and should undergo some speech training. Congenital deafness usually started from mothers who has German Measles.

Conductive deafness is a hearing loss that is cause by a defect of the external canal and the middle ear.

Diabetes: “It has been found that there’s a parallel increase of the diabetes threads(in overweight people)” In The United States, 60% of the population is gaining weight, and type 2 diabetes is increasing in prevalence as well. You can see children are very big, and you will see the prevalence of diabetes also increases. Just imagine getting fat and getting diabetic. two concerns will be prevented if you will just slow down in your calorie intake and carefully plan your diet.

5. Sleep Apnea- This is a sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing just imagine this , your so big the lungs become affected. This makes you prone to sudden death. Nobody want that to happen .
